About Us
Not unlike many successful startups, Manic Ink was born in the garage.
Unlike many successful startups, Manic Ink is still in the garage.
In fact, the entire operation consists of no more than a staging table, a screen press, a flash dryer,
a bluetooth speaker, and the maniacal artist himself—prospective high-school-dropout Ian Bears.
A frantic, relentless obsession has overcome
him—so consuming that he hardly even hears the Ghostmane reverberating through his cramped,
chilly workspace.
How does such an overwhelming obsession blossom?
Step into your not-so-local mallbrand skateshop and I’m sure you’ll understand. With every
screechy slide of the hanger it's simply more of the same: mushrooms, frogs, flames, sharks, gaudy Catholic iconography.
These stagnant trends have dominated streetwear for over a
decade. Manic Ink intends to assist in the formal burial of such designs.
We don’t have the patience to go on waiting for streetwear to change—we need something to
wear in the meantime, which is why we are churning out high quality hoodies and tees featuring designs brought to life from a mildly disturbed mind. Our products undergo a rather grueling hand-printing
process, making every Manic item produced uniquely one-of-one.
We officially launched our online store in 2024, and Manic Ink products have since made their
way onto the racks of various Spokane businesses, including Paradigm Skate Supply and The
Small Biz Shoppe.
We will continue to expand as long as the mania persists.
